4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them, along with web beacons and pixels, for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies — required for basic Site functionality such as navigation and security. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the Site.
- Advertising cookies — used to deliver and measure advertisements, including personalised ads where permitted.
- Preference cookies — remember settings such as your light or dark theme choice.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the Site working correctly.
5. Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure
Third-party advertising cookies
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this Site.
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on TechieHub.blog. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your prior visits to this Site and other sites on the internet.
Third-party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons and similar technologies, as a result of ad serving on this Site.
How to opt out
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
You can also opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info, or at Your Online Choices for the EU and UK.
Opting out does not remove advertising. It means the ads you see are no longer tailored to your browsing history.
Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
Where required, we request your consent before advertising and analytics cookies are set. You may withdraw or change that consent at any time. Until consent is given, advertising and analytics storage remain disabled.
Affiliate links
Some articles on TechieHub.blog contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
Affiliate relationships never influence our rankings, recommendations, or verdicts. No vendor has paid for placement, and we do not accept sponsored posts presented as editorial content. Where an article contains affiliate links, this is disclosed on that article before the recommendation. Our full standards are set out in our Editorial Policy.
Many of the tools we recommend most strongly are free downloads that earn us nothing.
6. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. It sets cookies to collect information such as pages visited, time on site, and referring source. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
7. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery, analytics, and advertising partners who process data on our behalf
- Legal requirements — where we are required to by law, regulation, or valid legal process
- Protection of rights — where necessary to investigate fraud, security issues, or violations of our terms
- Business transfer — if the Site is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under this same policy
Third-party services we use include Google AdSense, Google Analytics, our hosting provider, and email delivery services. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
8. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on these legal bases:
- Consent — for advertising and analytics cookies, and for marketing emails
- Legitimate interests — for site security, fraud prevention, and understanding how the Site is used
- Legal obligation — where processing is required by law
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
9. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here. Contact form messages and email correspondence are kept while the enquiry is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ configured retention period.
10. Data Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, and we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these, email contact@techiehub.blog with enough detail for us to locate your data. We respond within the time limits required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity first.
12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and for what purpose, to request deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell personal information as that term is defined by the CCPA. To make a request, email contact@techiehub.blog.

15. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for how such signals should be interpreted, and the Site does not currently respond to them. You can still control tracking through your cookie settings and the advertising opt-out links in section 5.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
